Are bags of pellets any good for firestarters/kindling?

We've used kindling wood for so many years we keep on doing it. However, a few years ago Thomas introduced us to the Super Cedars and I can't say enough good about them! We make each round into 4 starters so they are not expensive either.

What I like best about these is that my wife is pretty good at running the stove but has always had a terrible time starting a fire. Once we tried the super cedars, that is now fixed. In addition, we can start a fire either with or without kindling wood. And these things burn a long time so plenty of time for wood to catch fire. No mess with them either. We keep the unused parts in a zip lock bag.

Notice they are scored for easy breakage into 4 pieces.

Propane torch and smaller splits. Tank lasts for years.
