    29 degrees,windchill 18 right now. Just under 1/2" stopped about 2 hrs ago.

    A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BE MOVING ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY TONIGHT. EXPECT A MARKED GUSTY WIND SHIFT TO NORTHWEST WITH THE FRONT...AND TEMPERATURES SHARPLY DROPPING BELOW FREEZING WILL CHANGE PRECIPITATION FROM RAIN TO A BRIEF PERIOD OF STEADY SNOW. SNOW AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM LESS THAN AN INCH IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS...WITH UP TO 3 INCHES IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN. BRIEFLY LOWERED VISIBILITIES IN SNOW SQUALLS ARE ALSO EXPECTED.     Rained this morning, about a half inch of snow this afternoon and it's down to 28 now. Its a balmy 70 in the house. Not bad.

    Supposed to get back around 60 this weekend, the back to the 30s after that.

    This is the time of year I prefer it to stay warm or get cold, not this back and forth chit. :)

    Fell asleep early....woke up to the furnace clicking on at 2. Enough of that, so I reloaded the stove and haven't heard it since. Take that 9 degree weather! Even cooked eggs on it this morning.

    "Finished" installing the new back door just in time last weekend. The old one was so poorly installed it was like a sieve.

    KCCI Channel 8 said 5 in Fort Dodge,8 in Sioux City.They may see 25 if lucky today.Glad I put the outside storms on the basement windows over the weekend.Back to upper 40's here for Friday,low 50's for Saturday/Sunday..

    I'm wondering with the warmer weather moving in on Thursday, how high the winds will be.

    Our road was like a skating rink this morning, the main roads were great.
