Edible, but not tasty, apparently. If I had an ocean to gather food from, I could she as heck find a better source of food than a sea cucumber.
Sorry for the delay, its 8'x2'x2'. I've really debated getting rid of it but would love to set it back up some day. Just checked the price and the same tank now is nearly doubled what I paid (bought it 2007 I think it was) so maybe I should hang on to it. Just going to be a major pita when I go to move. I built everything all myself except for the tank itself. Overflows with two sump tanks. Back in the day it was pretty high tech with an Aquacontroller and web interface, CO2 injection, auto water changes, auto fertilizer dosing. Never had it 100% up and running yet though. I did have it mostly working, though I can't seem to find pics of the final product with the light stocking a did. But I do have a bunch of construction pics, I'll upload a few... Stand was probably way overbuilt. I just never wanted to have any question it was strong enough.
Reminds me of my overkill stand and tank build. I'll need to sign in on the computer instead of my phone and upload build pics. I'm thinking a smaller cube reef tank build will happen sometime soon upstairs. Maybe not running until fall, but these ocd things don't happen overnight.
So, the fish fared just fine from the baby shampoo incident, but the tank now has raging algae bloom. Any suggestions?
Years ago I used tinfoil on the direct sun sides, but this place is 100% indirect light, good or bad idea?
Broke out the test kit, even did nitrates lol (90% water change the other night). All 3 test at 0. Ph a bit high. Must be baby shampoo residue or that darn "Water Conditioner". I ordered two sterilizers.
Maybe try some baby conditioner now? Sorry, couldn't help myself. I wonder if the shampoo had some phosphate in it?
