How about a Poulan 1976 bicentennial edition?

I've never bought a Husky (saw, as I have had the four-legged kind) but if they came out with a commemorative McCulloch saw, I would at least be curious. A McCulloch was the first saw I ever used when I was knee-high to a grasshopper and Husqvarna was the last McCulloch brand owner after their unfortunate demise.

I dig it. They remained a Private American company until 1984 when Electrolux ate them.

A fair amount of good brands got rolled by Electrolux. Seems that being bought means disappearance or at minimum bastardization. Husky got 'air injection' when they got Jonsereds. Unknown what tech they gleaned from Poulan...never looked into.

Ummm, not quite. They were a Private Company until Beard Corp purchased them in the 60’s, then came the purchase by Emerson Electric in the 70’s and finally Eletrolux in the 80’s.

Not much, other than the consumer base that purchase homeowner saws, Poulan’s largest saws were mostly green Dolmars. Now ask yourself how many saws did Poulan mfg for other brands? They were by far the largest saw mfg whore in the world, which is why they were purchased several times.
