BTW anybody considering this for a 261/261c 18" would be best served by a 66 drive link count for PS chain and a picco 3/8 7t in my opinion. Cannon lists 69 DL as a starting point, but I went with baileys online catalog that listed a 66 dl count. Didnt even try the 69 though, I sized it up to a .325 18" chain and rim before I got the cannon bar even though a .325 rim is much smaller and had the 69's that I ordered from MasterMech resized. Its snug at 66 but i'll have no problems.

It should cut nice and straight. They run tighter rail gaps than oregon and most others.

Not to mention smooth and fast with that 63PS chain. Hmmm. I've been wanting me a longer bar for my 261......

If Iremember right cannon runs .003-.004" over and oregon was .006-.007" both were new.

Got a few cuts in this morning after work here and it's pretty sweet. I like the balance a little better too, feels like a 16". I started with 16's on this 261c, then went to a 18" stihl e .325, which was fine once i got used to it. Not much difference but you could tell right away. Now, the saw seems to have a more neutral balance if you will, like a stihl 16" .325 or 3/8 and this cannon 18" picco. Idk, either way it was a good buy IMO:thumbs:

Got my 24'' Cannon installed on the 655bp this evening before I came in for the evening. Filed the slot for the bar studs and squared up the hole to receive the chain adjuster pin. Really Really like this bar. It looks sick and the balance is so much better than the 36'' bar I had on there.
