Here's a dumb question from a beginner saw dude; how the hell does the bar make any difference? It's just an oval thingy holding the chain on, no? I see how different chains make a big difference, but the bar? Edemacate me please!

 

The stiffer the bar and tighter the rails the less the chain wobbles and makes a straighter cut. This is less drag on the saw also.

 

Is there a bar for my Cs-400, preferable a 20" bar?

 

Also there is roller tip and hard nose

I thought I would relay this for Mr. Landrum's FHC member group. I was in contact with Terry over a saw buy and thought I would ask about the group buy. All bars are expected to ship Thursday according to Cannon, besides one that is a new just introduced model.
