Anyone good with photoshop?

I swear I used to be able to do what I wanted with photoshop or adobe editor, now I feel helpless. I have a picture that I need to stencil or outline (I want the pictures to look like a black and white sketch) for a shirt. If any of you would be interested in giving it a few tweaks, I would appreciate it!

I am using gimp at the moment, with not much success. I guess they appropriately named the program lol.

Nothing wrong with Gimp, I prefer it to photoshop.

 

Im getting used to it. How can I unselect an image after it has a highlighted parameter? It is driving me nuts. Even if I select another function, its like I cant combine the images that I've pasted together.

 

Use the select tool-- just click once and it will unselect.

 

Also, if you are having problems after pasting, you need to anchor your selection to a layer.
