Lol, yes! My BIL is more die hard Stihl than I am Husky. I don’t hate, I just have a preference. :handshake: I kinda wish I had more red in my fleet.

I've turned some but they were a little too long. It's about time I give it another go.

I really got my money out of my last pair. They weren't USA made either. Luckily I'm at a point I can spend the extra coin to support fellow Americans.

    If you’re ever in a crafts store ,Micheal’s , etc , pick up a couple of wood balls 2 - 2 1 /2 “ in diameter .
Drill a hole in them and seat the file . Bestest ,cheapest file handles ever .....

It sure can be nice making your own loops. The secure feeling of having a roll on hand ready to go.

Well, if 1mp is considered, then I got a timber jack. I provide the power.
    IMG_20201225_082146849.jpg

    It's a Woodchuck Timberpro.

    I used it yesterday.

    That's a 16in log.

Not sure how often I'll use it, but very happy with how it performed.

Had to count links and figure best place to break it so it go back together right. Never used that brand before, I asked on the forum about it. I think amateur cutter said it was decent chain. After I got it, found out it was made in CHINA...probably why it's cheap price...

Let us know how it cuts. I used to buy Carlton chain years back from the OPE dealer i did business with at the time. Ir was cut from a roll of chain.

It’s decent enough chain. It seems to be strong with a good chassis, cutters stay sharp reasonably well. But if you were to compare it fresh off the grinder with LGX or RS, it’s a little bit slow. The rivets appear to be wider and there are square corners on the drive links that I believe slow it down. Still a good value though

I had one of those in my hands a couple weeks ago @ a Cycle Gear. I have 2 mix cups but I really like the RatioRite. I use it regularly at the bike shop. Can you confirm for me where it it made?

Made in shy-nah is a deal breaker for me. I'd have my own breaker/spinner if I could find a decently priced one that wasn't. I picked up 10 loops of brandy new LGX in 108 drivers. I can't find a Husky application in that size so they are going to need broke/spun at some point. (paid $100 for all 10!)

Says USA right on the bottom. No "China" anywhere. On other non us sites to buy it, it says "imported from the USA". No mention of anything on their site, which you'd expect they would be touting this.

I say buy with confidence, because they have to have where it's made on it, and all I see is USA.

It's such a super handy tool. I don't know how i got along without one all these years. I had one growing up, it got lost years ago in my parents move from the old house. Who knows, maybe it will show up eventually up at the pole shed at the cottage?
