LOL,,you might be correct, I'd have to have a look. It is a very good lantern, although I had to pre-heat the gen last nite as it was windy and pretty cold.
Not a coleman, but kinda' interesting,,a kero powered cooker,,,built very sturdy, zero odor when up to temp.
awsome... just awesome. I love the old sock lanterns. I'm not in with all the new LED lanterns, I like white fuel!
I've got just a few. I'll post pics if I can ever remember to line them up and get a pic. Kerosene lamps is a mild family obsession. But power outages just don't excite us like they do other people.
I got this one one out of a barn 40 years ago, I had it working good until 1990. There is a number 56 on the bottom of the fuel tank.
well, not old school, but looks as if never used, i picked up this propane model this last weekend, it's dated from 1981............
well, i did end up scoring the '92 SE lantern, turns out it is N.O.S.!.............................with original box, carry case, extra mantels, original sales recite and all else that it would have come with, the last that sold on the bay went for 250. clams shipped!, i got mine for 60. shipped!.............
also snagged this duel fuel yesterday for 15., just needs a globe and mantels, otherwise looks to be in very good condition, dated from '91, should have this one up and burn'n over the weekend!....................
from what i've found, they were sold in 1992, 1993 and 1995, oddly 1994 was passed up for some reason, haven't found the answer on that one yet.............
sorry, i justed added a pic of a cool repo sign that sells on the bay, same seller has another one that looks cool also............
these followed me home today!, not sure how to date the brass bottom one, it also has a mica globe, looks to be very early, gonna have to talk to fuzz on it, also an early coleman lamp, one n.o.s. duel fuel, some others that are ready to work, some for parts, also one drake red globe i found on the cheap!................
