Nice collection... My brother kinda collects them. Not near to your scale...he just picks them up cheap at garage sales and such... It's amazing tho the younger generation doesn't seem to like the gas lanterns...they would rather buy propane bottles and batteries...
I found this a thread a few days ago and have slowly been catching up. I have a 200a that was my grandfathers.
I have the same one but it needs some work as flames shoot out the mantle instead of glowing. Future project. They look sharp all cleaned up.
Why the heck can't we buy these at Cabelas? And why do they cost 329.00? This is crazy! 10 to 12 hours is a long runtime, but 300 bucks?
Sometimes I can't believe my luck. Found two new old stock lanterns on the f.b. today... I can't believe some of the stuff people can't wait to get rid of when cleaning out Grandpa's stuff after he passes.
I guess he knows me. A friend at work just stopped in and said he had a little surprise for me. Then he sat this down in front of me. His wife found it going through her dad's estate and told him to toss this junk in the garbage. Glad he remembered me!
Love Coleman lanterns! The low hiss in the night brings back safe childhood memories of camping. I only have a couple. I like the old chrome plated ones. You have an awesome collection! Maybe one day I will get enough to call a collection. (The only lanterns I have enough of to call a collection are old railroad lanterns. Got about a dozen.)
I ordered a lantern with a cookstove attachment on top from Lehman's hardware in Ohio. Now they're flooding me with emails. Anyone else have any experience with them?
I ordered something from them last year and I get at least one email a day As for the lantern, it sounds pretty cool! Any pictures?
Very nice pics of the Coleman products. Really brings back childhood memories. I have been collecting Umco tackle boxes with lures for some time. I must part with them before I move.
My brother gave me this last fall. It is a cold wet snowing windy day today, perfect day to finally play with my new toy. 1-71
I picked these up at an auction last weekend. $3 for the lantern ( never saw a blue Coleman before ) $ 15 for the heater with box and what looks to be all the paperwork
at 6:55 you can see the blue sears lanterns ,the whole video is interesting looks like a great place to see
That was a cool video! Thanks for posting it. I’m gonna have to go there, I get through Wichita twice a year maybe I can work it in so we can stop
