Finally got together with my brother and got my estate scrounge. It was headed to the dumpster if he hadn't snagged it for me so the price was right.
New to me 220E. Not in bad shape. I can probably have this little camping stove. It uses a bottle.I did not get the model number off it, but was wondering if is worth grabbing? I have a larger camp stove already. This one is almost coral in color.
The model E is a great old lantern, but don't over-pay for one, there's just way too many of them out there, the little stove is cool, but the L/P cylinders are NLA....
Came across another 118 slant yesterday while searching the tique shops, really wasn't looking for GPA's, but this one is pretty darn nice with the original 329 shade, shouldn't take much to have it up and burn'n again!.....
My bad, turns out this lamp is a 117 not a 118, the 117 did not have a built in pump like the 118....
He said it is coleman, he thinks unfired and "weird" lookin and baby poop green. My guess is probably a heater in that avocado 70s green that looks like a hippy ufo. He is not into any of this so his description and my assumption may be totally different. ??? Kinda gittin anxious/excited about seeing it finally!
My guess were right. Its a Hippy UFO! It had been fired however but from the looks of it not many times. Couldn't help myself and tried firing it up. Started right up!
I've gone thru all my lanterns over the past couple weeks, topped off the fuel, let 'em burn for a couple hours and put 'em away. It's funny how they multiply. I've scored a few this summer that will need looked over, and after cleaning up the garage I have found another 1/2 dozen, some of 'em tore down and in boxes, that will need fettled over the winter. 5 different wickies have found their way to my place, I reckon those will need gone over as well. An honest hobby that brings many pleasant hours of peace and quiet at the workbench while tending the woodstove. Thanks for sharing to all of you guys.
