I keep seeing one listed that's shown being used on a gold bond lantern, it looks to be well made....

Saved another Quick-lite, this one is undated, so it should be in the 1920-1923 range, it burns so nice, really liking these, also snagged a very nice 242A with block letter globe.....:) IMAG0270.JPG IMAG0271.JPG

Not Coleman, but still pretty cool, 1924ish Kamp Kook model 7 stove, picked it up yesterday for 40 clams, up and running great in less than an hour of just basic cleaning/pre-use maintenance, these early AGM Kamp Kook's really are nice.......:) IMAG0281.JPG

Rebuilt a 288 yesterday evening, it's a little rough but runs like brand new, now. No pics but picked it up for a dollar a while back, I had a $5.99 globe, NOS, I had stashed back for this kind of occasion. The pricker rod was broken so a new genny and set of gold top mantles, cooked the rust out of the tank and hopefully have bought it another 25+ years of service. Ran it for 3 or 4 hours without a hitch.

Here's a Canadian, either a 157 or a 159x I picked up yesterday from an Amish gent for twenty clams, it was missing the burner tubes and caps so I used a couple out of my 220F parts lantern and cleaned out the air tube and it lit right off, wasn't burning as bright as it could so I added a burner cap the the bottom of the air tube and it really filled the mantles nicely, very bright, easy to light, a good user....:) IMAG0287.JPG

Found this thread today, read through the entire thing. I'm not going to be a major collector but I have a few old Coleman pieces that I want to restore and I don't know how. I want them to clean up and look good without destroying them. I was gifted a dual-fuel lantern a couple of months ago, not even sure what it is yet. I also have a two-burner and a three-burner white gas stove, as well as a bunch of more modern stuff. I want to restore the stoves to use for Scout trips and put the lantern in my house for display and occasional use. Anybody care to share what you do for a restoration process, or can point me in the direction of any other websites that might have good information?

I've really enjoyed this thread and all the updates. My 200a aka "the fireball" has been bothering me to no end that I could not get it to work right without a fireball up through the top.

I watched some videos today and read some material on a tear down. I cleaned the air tube, generator, and the orifice. The leather on the plunger was sloppy and barely making pressure. I flushed the pump tube with denatured alcohol that had a gunky paste of old leather down the bottom. I cut a new leather plunger and soaked it in oil and set it. I had a pack of silk lite mantles from a pick at an estate sale. I tied and burned a new one on. Finally touched her off and she runs beautiful. No surging, no more fireball. I'm pretty happy with this.

Thank you guys for the updates and motivation to see this through. I'll be taking the single burner stove out on the ice this year.

Looks like it's burning good now, I've found more than one spider nest in the air tube on these lanterns, and it will make the fireball you describe until cleaned out, great job on yours, well done!...
