Thanks Midwinter! My wife loves sitting out there when it’s in the 40’s and 50’s outside and 80+ in the greenhouse with a book and a drink...
Her own Florida room! Nothing like the smell of a warm greenhouse. I worked a couple springs at a plant nursery ( a long time ago), and the smell of dirt was the best part.
lots of rain here. My main PA is very muddy despite wood crumb and leaf cover. Got stuck in there twice in recent weeks. Tired of rain, but loving the cool temps fr making firewood.
We expect some cold and some snow in May here but what I don't like is the constant cold. First we have some really warm days and we think Spring is here but then a long cold spell. This is the 4th year in a row for a colder than normal spring here. But at least this year it is not necessarily a wet spring. For sure nothing like last year. Yesterday I talked to the farmer who works land that borders our woods. Plans on planting corn and was just lightly discing the ground so as to hasten the drying so he can work it more then plant. You can get away with that in sand but not in clay. I told him I'd try to get back there and remove a couple of trees for him. I should be able to just shove them into the fence line as I doubt I can handle the saw yet with my bad neck.
