My cousin works at a good size firewood operation and delivers to the big city a couple counties away. She has several gas stations with Hindu operators. When she is in the area, and sees a station is low, she asks if they would like a resupply while she is there. Nope, they order when they are out. They don’t spend money until it’s necessary.
94BULLITT , Good video, I liked the editing and the music which didn’t overpower the thing. Question: Do you cut your rounds while the log is elevated in the grapple? Main reason I use the bale forks on my tractor is to just get the log up to belly high to make cutting easier. I minimize stoop-overtime as much as possible when playing with the wood.
Thanks, for the good feedback on the video. Earlier this year I got a log grapple and I cut this last load out of the grapple and it seemed to work well. I think the next load will go better now that we are getting a system down. I had not been using my root grapple because it is 6' wide. The guy I was getting logs from cut them 18.' So I was left with a 1/3 of the log. It did not seem beneficial to use the tractor with the root grapple.
