I am mess I g with my 45cc earthquake again. I pulled the fuel line to replace it and there is a larger line that went through the tank grommit and like a smaller one glued into it or something . They dont pull apart but look strange? The smaller line has what looks like a plastic film over the line too that when I streached it got all wrinkly I guess. Is this normal on other saws or some Chinese ingenuity?
Not patched by me. This is straight from the company that made those saws. This is a factory hack job!!! Going to get the fatter diameter line to run. I think they did it so they can run those baby fuel filters that are on the plastic poulans. Thats what it had on it, where as the larger line fits a husky filter right. I think they did it to utilize parts they had. Big grommet and carb inlet needs larger line but baby fuel filters need a tiny hose.
I do hack jobs like this when needed but way way better . Been doing it for years. Done it on some racesaws in past for certain reasons and saws that fuel lines are molded and NLA.
Ok I just got back to it. The lower portion of the fuel line was ripped off in the tank from pulling it out so the whole thing was that larger diameter from the get go. Just it was like duel walled line?
I used to sell quite a few Chinese Motor Products. They always came in cobbed together brand new. The quality never got better after about 3 years. I stopped dealing with them as I am not real patient and got tired of being lied to.
