Anybody else count splits instead of sheep?

    This is reoccurring for me. After splitting wood all day i cant help but seeing splits flying through the air when i close my eyes. Big splits. Little splits. Straight splits. Knarly splits. Tonight they are all either maple or ash.

    I would think you'd be seeing Hickory flying about? Shagbark has that particularly particular scent, like oak has of its own.... The smell of it can excite, or settle one down....as unto sleep:sleeping:
