I think you'd be surprised. I'm 6'4" and 240 now, but I was 260 lbs when I rented one in 2011 for a couple weeks. We put 1800 miles on that regular Prius ( not the V or the C). There's tons of room in those things. I had the same conversation about not being able to fit into a Prius with a guy that was shorter and a little bit heavier than me. He had never been in one.

Prius are DC. You could run an inverter. Depending on the siren's needs though.;)

I just went off of this spec sheet. I assumed all of them were using a modified square wave of chopped dc. Just like a variable frequency drive on a 3 phase motor uses.

At 6'4 and 420 ya I'd be surprised. Usually I look like the monkey football thing getting in a car.

420??? Uh, yeah. Hard to say unless you try it though.;) But, I will say they certainly have a lot more room than most people think.

The guy selling the siren sure is a jerk. After a few messages and his responses i looked and he has NEVER sold anything so I'm going to pass. It's been listed 3 times already but no sale.
So I'll just sit back and dream of owning a Chrysler air raid siren. eatonpcat the Chrysler would be a great siren for you if you ever decide you want a noise machine for yourself.
Thanks all for your support of my crazy habits !!

Thanks Dennis !! I'm much better at faces than trying to remember names that are further obscured by AKA's.

Fasternal hasn't answered my last enquiry. I got the autoresponder. I haven't called. They had stopped shipping because of Covid. I still need my tractor parts to come down from NJ. Fasternal is around $125.00 for my parts; was hoping to find someone making a trip and would like $125.00 to offset their fuel cost. So far I haven't. I hope Fasternal opens back up soon on their shipping.

There are different ways of going about it, but yeah the Prius motors are AC even though the batteries are DC...I guess there are a few DC motors out there in electric cars though ..
