Cyclist here. Roadie, skinny tires. Coming up on a 2.7K mile year.
Average 60-80 miles a week. It's been a great year.
Slight bump in the road when the guy turned left in front of me.
...but, it's all good. I'm just about repaired. Bike was rebuilt, it's really nice.

    My favorite cycling pic.
My cycling partner and I approaching the last switch
back at the summit of Mt. Evans (14,271' elevation). This day, we did not ride it from
Echo lake, we did not ride it from Bergen Park, we rode it from my house in N. Denver.
59miles, 10K vertical. It was an awesome day.

Have done some Air Force and Marine Corps marathons and a bunch of halfs. Not very fast, but funny thing is my pace is pretty much the same throughout. Did a biathlon and swimming competitiion mostly for fun at World Police Fire Games, held different venues around the world. I enjoy 5K because my age grouping will get me a trophy- primarily because i got out of bed. Have done a little trail running at the Indian-Celina challenge near my tree farm in southern Indiana. If anyone has an interest, you are welcome to stay at my place in the avatar.

The times those guys run for a marathon or hald is astounding. How do they not break femurs from roots and things?

Never got to doing the bicycling mostly because I dont trust cars.

Anyone rode the Hilly Hundred in Indiana? I have met folks in different parts of the US and have been amazed how many have done it.
