I used to crib my ends, but found it too time consuming. Not to mention it poses a problem when pulling from the stack. So now I've resorted to building ends. It's a lot faster stacking this way I don't have to sort through to find the perfect ones for cribs, not to mention I don't have to worry about the pile falling over. Guess I don't have much of a problem. My cribs look average looking at the pictures and I have not had a stack fall towards the cribbed end. However, the one I built the day I posed the question was real ugly. The stack won't go anywhere. It is stacked perpendicular to an existing stack.
I really like the bookends. I will have to step up my search for free pallets.
