    Many of the guys are talking about resident and personal use stuff not business.

    I'd be freaking broke if I had to pay those new York rates. I have 4 trailers!:eek:

    I guess so? I understood that you wondered if you had to live adjacent or in the NE I think...but beyond that I guess I'm lost?

    My answer was I don't think you do.

    Anyway...I truly am lost, no big deal.

    The registration fee goes by weight in NY plus those of us in southern NY get wacked a surcharge because of our proximity to NYC, go figure. On the plus side my wife and I would likely take at least a 70k a year pay cut between the 2 of us if we lived down south. You can register a lot of trailers for that. In my case utility trailers get registered in Maine but the camper has to get registered in NYS. I don't think in matters how close you are to the state of Maine.

    Yea 70k is a lot. I am not sure what your house cost and insurance but there is a difference there too as well as vehicle registration and income tax. But your still plus.

    I think a new thread is needed just for it!!

    I wish I had the cash for that trailer though! I've wanted a dump trailer for forever!! (And ever!). Good luck with the sale bud!

    Anyone that may be around my area on or around Halloween weekend? Carbine lives about 35 minutes from me.. Or I bet he could probably bring it to my place. Hoping he may be around or at my house that weekend.
