The bad head turned out not to be a blown head gasket but the timing hopefully the valves are not smashed now… The good news the little tiger will run again!

Its auto the wife can't and won't drive manual so I don't buy them anymore. I wish it was manual my old 85 supersport could lay down a mean rubber trail…. I miss that one a lot.
The interior is very nice. The body is pretty beat up on the back of the bed both sides. Id like to fix the bed but my auto body skills suck! The cab is in excellent shape even the cab corners are solid. It has a destroyed from bumper but I can fix that easy with a new one and the drivers door is dented but that should pull out.
I fired it up tonight after checking the valves and what ya know they where fine! New timing chain installed so far and thats it. $58 for the timing chain $350 for the truck and she purs beautifully! Nice tight motor. The bad…. The good!
We had an old 84 tree fiddy powered 1 ton 2wd long bed reg cab chevy that was mustard yellow that I had a soft spot for, just based on all the work we did with it. It instantly was called "old yeller". It was slow, but always started, even after months of sitting, even if that battery was down to one last slow " I give up" crank, that would start it. Dad ended up selling it to my uncle after its body was rusted out. It's axles and drivetrain are certainly moving at least 1 other vehicle now.
