    Some parts of the country people burn pine exclusively.

    Yup! I love that people have that false notion! I know when I see a CL for pine I have time to get out there haha. Anything else is gone 20 minutes after it's posted. :rolleyes:

    It all burns! I have burnt tons of pine won't turn it down if I need some free firewood, Good Score!

    OH and for those who followed my oak stained hands thread, I did wear gloves for this as I don't care for pine sap all over my hands and saw.

    Its interesting to hear so many people here comment on sap from pine. I deal with lots of lodgepole pine out my way and rarely have to deal with sap. I guess it could be because I dont process green pine much. I do find with Spruce there are sap pockets in wood that can make a bit of a mess, even with dead wood.

    But even that sap comes of really easy. We like using Miracle Whip and like Brylcream used to say, A little dab will do ya.
