I might even suggest finding some dry pallets to cut up for burning; just be careful to not overfire.

I believe I'd be looking for standing and leaning deadwood right now. A couple of weeks on the stacks cut and split and a lot of it will be ready. Moisture meters can be had cheap at Harbor Freight. Then get cutting for next year!
