    I generally lift every log with the forks and cut while in the air. Some of these real big ones though are either too heavy to lift or easier to cut while lying on the ground. In those cases, I cut down through the log most of the way and then use the tractor to roll the log enough to expose the part left to cut. I then use the forks to move each piece closer to the splitter or if they are really big, I noodle them in half first then use the tractor to move. Any way you go about it, it sucks up time.

    I saw that this morning but over on the other side the river. Close to 30 miles one way. That big log looked like a good noodling candidate.

    The ad said he was hauling it out today if no one came for it. Hope he had a strong back to move that log.:) Gonna look tonite to see if the ad is Stihl up. I could always use it but I don't need it.
