I don't put anywhere near that much wood in mine. No need to but you'll be reloading it every couple hours. I do 2 to 3 splits at most and let'r come up in temp slow, but it looks like you gotta handle on it.

Like you said, I’ll get it. Just need some time with it. I am still learning the insert too, and my wood could be drier. As this house isn’t my main residence I am be have 4 -5 weekends with them left before they aren’t needed. The hood new is that next fall I will have 2 cords. CSS seasoning for 2 years . I will get a better idea of how both units perform.

Thanks to Coaly and WeldrDave. I learned so much from you and others on this forum. My Fisher insert project should be done by tomorrow weather permitting. I [IMG]
would not have as safe and functional instillation without all the help here.
Strong handshake and you all are welcome to sit by my fire anytime.

I was going to say, “but it will be 70, or 80 with the door closed“. These things put out serious heat, and eat a lot of wood doing it. Sometimes you need to burn a lot to bring the temp up, these will do that.

Oh I closed the doors, an it got past 70 alright. Only took a few hours too! When my wife first saw this thing she wanted it out of the house. After this weekend, she changed her tune. “Well I guess if we clean it up it will look good down there once the basement is finished” She felt that heat and did a complete 180! The company we had staying with us was in shock at the difference it made. I like my BK insert, I love my Fisher!
