I bought a gallon about "hmmmm" maybe 4 or 5 months ago but can't for the life of me remember where but it was from a link someone here sent me.
I know it was $59 and free shipping.
A co worker was looking for a gallon last week and that is where I found it on sawsuppliers for the same price I paid a few months back , I would have bet the price would have gone up since then.
A gallon should last me a while.

Might have been me. I got it from the link above (Russo Power) for $59 free shipping. Just checked and shipping is no longer free there. Might get a gal from your link just because.

Looks like the Cambridge TSC has the winter flavor of bar erl and they lowered their price some on the regular. Probably lowered even more for Black Friday. I’d just put some kerosene in my resovoir if I was having flow issues and save some money. IMG_0215.jpeg

For 40 bucks I ordered 6 quarts of Castrol go. That egg guy says it’s good, so why not. I got 12 quarts on accident. Up to my ears in bar and 2 stroke oil.

Holy smokes bud. You have almost as many quarts of 2t as me now. Mine are all different flavors though.

Bring one of those cases to Denny's and I'll use it in my snow blower...

no problem, I’ll bring you a quart. :DThey sent me 12 for the price of 6, so that’s like 3 bucks a quart. And I still have 3/4 a gallon of Sabre I need to go through.

I don't need any but if I ran across some at a good price I probably wouldn't walk by without grabbing a couple. So far, no killer bargains around here.

Is that off brand cheap bar oil worth the savings or is it junk? I've been running Stihl, but the price of the pulan pro at Menards is enticing. If it's not good quality though I'd rather pay more for the better oil

I've been running Mystic all weather for a couple years now and it's working well. I can't speak of the others as I've only used Stihl, echo, mystic and Amsoil semi synthetic bar oil.

Name brand bar oil is 3 to 4 times the price of the non name brand. You are paying for that name on the bottle. The poulan, mystik, county line, cam bar oil is what I use. In my experience it’s about as good but I have more money left in my wallet.

10 gallons of Stihl bar oil $220 + tax

10 gallons of Poulan bar oil 60+ tax

Even if it’s not as good I can buy more bars or chains with the huge savings.

I liked the Husqvarna bar oil when it was $12/gal. When it reached $20/gal I became a cheap bar oil user. I am not wearing out bars or chains any quicker. I don’t believe a firewood cutter would notice a difference if there is any difference in wear protection.

I find little to no difference...haven't bought "the good stuff" in many many moons now...and have no chain/bar issues either.
