All you need now is the 150tcm than start getting the big block saws. Every pro Stihl from 25cc-121cc.

Couple months back there was a new 150 top handle for sale on FBM about two hours from me. I made an offer and he countered too high. $500 for a 25cc.
I like to get the "you suck" kind of deals when i buy saws!
Doubt ill ever get a saw larger than my 460...unless its a 500i!

Haven’t seen any 500i yet. So I’m sure it will be a year or so before the 400i comes around.

I’m thinking a 400i could be a do it all saw from trimming to bucking everything up to 20” so I’d have no reason to us my 026 or 260.

I wonder what the powerhead weight is on that saw? I checked the Stihl reference for all the saws they've manufactured since 1929 and it doesnt show up. The 500i starts in 2019.

According to MS 400 C-M - World's first chainsaw with magnesium piston technology

it’s 5.8 kg which I think makes it about 1 lb more than the 261. Paired with a Stihl light weight 20” bar I’m not sure if I’d notice much difference in weight

Thanks ,and you know what I have so if you ever need anything yourself it's yours.
I need to figure out time to use my own ! I really wanted to grab some of that elm down the street and then the other spot where I grabbed a small load a couple weeks back.
And I need to get out in the backyard and take care of what I have there as well.
was all ready to go out and get busy but now mother nature has slowed that down a little.:headbang:
    I will stay in touch.

I’m looking forward to checking out the weight of an 881. 661 has been out for a while, so probably see a fi 662? 661i? at some point.

Plenty of room? Are you hinting that I need another saw??

I have been snooping around actually looking for an older saw ( I don't want to use the wrong term and say a beater ) that I could just leave in my truck for the occasional scrounge that you might run across. I have passed on some of those since I didn't have a saw with me.
Everything I have now I am not sure I would be comfortable leaving it in the truck , I would rather have something that might not look quite as nice and might have a little less temptation for someone.

Seems that everyone wants a ton of money for anything lately , and some even want to get paid for the fuel they have burned over the years as well.
If you happen to find anything like this let me know.

We should have a Stihl GTG with all our saws? Be interesting for sure! I hear ya on the snow cover. Driving me nuts :hair: Did some splitting today though.

Im forever perusing CL and FBM looking for saw deals. What are you looking for? Older 026, MS250? Those saws with a 16" bar are perfect IMO for a "keep in the truck" saw for an average scrounge.
Once my 026 is up and running (thanks M2theB) It may become my truck saw.

Yes sir , something like that would be perfect.
Doesn't have to be a beauty queen. I do not do FBM but do check CL often , CL has really changed over the years. A ton of stuff overpriced and not even worth perusing.
Maybe I should just take my 250 and throw it in the saw case ( I did just pick that up from CL for $20 new ; he was asking $25 ) and call it a day.
Many times a saw in the truck would have been a game changer.

Not a bad idea. If you have the room why not. Might as well put it to use.
I have tools etc in the cab so sometimes having a saw in there would be a PITA as it'd be in the way. Two bags of groceries tonight and had to move stuff to the bed.
