Glad it's beginning to work out for you.
These folks saw my stacks from the road and inquired.
Happy belated 40th birthday MFP. Mine is April 18
(just reading the whole thread for the first time)
Just reading this thread...late to the party. $5 is too cheap for that Ron. As amateur cutter said you can get more. I see what other are selling and fresh split. Ive seen bundles with pine mixed in! If you have customers wanting quantity of bundles, offer a hoop of hardwood, quarter cord etc. I have one elderly customer and go the extra mile for them. Ive tried retailing bundles with minimal success. I wholesale to convenicence stores.
How are sales going now that this thread is several weeks old???
Been slow. I'm selling some every weekend but still waiting on the store close to me to open up. I will be delivering 2 loads to the 1st two elderly folks that bought from me. I will take care of them.
This is mainly wood from my property that is not desirable for burning indoors. Silver maple, toh, and pine mixed in. Therefore the price.
Next week is the Country Fest over the hill. 4 daysof music and shenanigans. My boy works for Anheuser Busch and said they have sold 21,000 tickets already. I will be looking to capitalize in the primitive campground. It's a good time in there along with some awesome visuals
Started making bags this morning, and have plans to have near 100 ready for next week.
Lookin good there Ron! What is the recommended cubic footage for those bags?
Found out my boys assistant T ball coach is one of the owners/co-founder of countryfest...would never guess, looks like average Joe.
Yes, thosetwo guys hit the jackpot.
Hell buZZsaw BRAD, no clue. I put 8 to 9 pieces per bag.
Good deal, hope you hit the jackpot there.
Thanks, me too. Maybe the beginning of a saw fund? Planning on using my daughters pass to get into the campgrounds with the truck loaded up. Most of those youngsters will be needing wood. Not sure what I'll charge at this point.
Saw fund sounds nice...$8-10 bag???
Look what they charge for food and drinks at places like that
I was thinking at least 10 a bag in that setting. Luckily the boy gets free passes and drink tickets. That's the price he pays for his mommy still doing his laundry when he brings it over
No doubt...I had no idea it was so big...article in the paper recently said it's the biggest of it's kind in the country!
You should be able to mop up there!
We have attended every year and every year gets bigger. Lawrence township pd makes out as well.
First time I saw thread I see In your future!
Just a update from the weekend. Sold 33 bags as I didn't push it really hard as I needed time for . There were plenty of people selling as well.
