I won't mention any names. However just because one never heard of a thing doesn't mean it's not knowledge. Most of what I know came from someone else.I like to listen and sort things out later.
And I thought I was the only "smoke magnet"! Probably all that wet sizzling wood you use for campfires!
Not this “old timer” But in the northern hemisphere “cold “ does, ..... Winter, Polar Vortex ... north to south ... Maybe he lives in the Southern Hemisphere
Heat will "only" move in a lateral direction with air movement, no matter which direction that may be... Being that heat is less dense than cold, thats why it moves up to rise above cold. Sounds like some of the ladies I date many years back!
But the absence of heat is cold, so remove the heat and it goes cold again. I hate it when than happens, That's why I have to get up at 4am and put a log in Grandma!
Rich, you won't find a better class of folks anywhere who are willing to help and share their wisdom and experience. I knew next to nothing and so many have taken the time to share so much information with me with over the years.
There seems to be some confusion here, possibly intentional. Heat moves in all directions. It's hot air that rises.
You need one of them smokeshifters... ole boyscout joke. Before suburbs and developers; they aimed for a southern exposure. Might be where that saying comes from. When that north wind blows, the heat moves from the north to the south. I never heard it before.
Yes, Heat "Radiates" in all directions 100% correct but if you want to move "warm air" in needs to be done with air movement.
