I just scored 2,000 primers 210m, that will keep the creedmoors feed. LGS is supposed to have some powder come in this week.
Thanks, i have others i can shoot or hunt with. just would like to have more in stock. hopefully It will get better, but i don't see it happening.
My thoughts on ammo prices, when “they” get prices on ammo where manufactures want it, you’ll be able to buy all, and every caliber you want. No more sales, just flat out straight retail prices all the way across the board.
Plenty of 224 Valkyrie to buy and brass cased 7.62x39. last week i bought 9mm,40 cal. and 308. only buy it a decent prices though. not paying a dollar a round for 9mm.
air rifle ammo is in short supply as well. .22 14.3g HP from crosman is going for about 17 for a tin of 500 it use to be under 7 for a tin. I lucked out I think and found someone selling it at old price and grabbed 3k rounds. my .45 ammo seems to be reliable for now. casting molds are sold out at a lot of places as well or really $$$
If ammo weren't a joke already. Yesterday I'm skimming some auctions online, not Gunbroker or gunauction, mind you but sh** you not, a Federal box of 12 Field and Trap was going for over $100 and these were several lots. Head spinning yet? Thi is nearly a 4x mark up if those of you know how much those are on a regular basis...and people were worried about .22 some years ago. Hey Walmart might not be the LGS but if its something I can find there every once in awhile, still worth the trip. Not the exact ad as the auction for it closed it out but darn close....its just getting more and more Ridiculous.
Hornady sent a ammo shipment out last week that arriving We’d-Thursday fingers crossed it gets up here that quick, I have my doubts. More like next week.
I'm afraid to ask.. I was groaning last year when the price was up to $35 - $40/thousand. Plus shipping, plus HazMat fee... New Jersey's become a wasteland as far as being able to walk into a store and by reloading components. I've still got a few packages around with price tags from when I paid $18-/thousand & a few cans, yes metal cans, of powder with $16- price tags on them. That H4350 is a great score.
Wanted to post last night, but the Blue Smoothies got the better of me! Wife's DIL is a manager at Cabella's in Avon, OH and she said they are expecting an Ammo delivery today around noon. They don't know what is coming but she says they don't jack up the price so they get a long line when it comes in.
You'd have a better chance of panning gold nuggets out of the chit creek behind my house than finding ammo here where I'm at.......it's ridiculous!
You headed out there? I don't know about jacking up prices but they raised them slightly. Maybe by about a dollar or two depending on the ammo it is. Not that it makes a massive difference but some have been worried about quality from the companies however I don't think I'd expect manufacturers to up the speed on anything. I'd rather buy from people who are getting rid of their supplies. Even then, they aren't giving it up without the elevated level of coin either....
No, I am not going (not much of a hoarder as I have enough to get by in my head. I would just have her buy it for me if I needed it! I have seen Herters (I believe this is Cabella's brand name) on gun broker for sale at 3 - 4 times the in store cost.
Last few times I have been to Walmart they were completely empty, not even shotgun ammo left! Haven't been to any gun stores lately. I just ordered 100 custom loaded 150gr 30-06 from a local guy. $1.50 a round and they shoot nice and drop a deer in its tracks.
