Amazing Results From Wood Drying in Pile

    Would not work for me either. I know this because back when I worked in the office I'd drive by some old guys place who had a small wood pile sitting near the road and top covered with some cheap clear plastic. Well, after a couple years I'd see him digging through said pile trying to find decent wood. Not too long after that the clear plastic was removed and the punky wood was just left to the elements to rot. You can still see what's left to what used to be good wood if he only stacked it. Problem for him is, he doesn't learn. He just keeps moving the small piles around and covering it with the same stuff to only end up with crap wood.

    This is the wood pile...photo is from 2009. The guys "house" is an old mobile home just west of the wood pile (by the gravel drive) that has seen MUCH better days. Can barely see it through the foliage. Guessing he shares the living space with a bunch of rodents.
