Norky, here are a few pics of the B-17 that you posted on pg 6. They fly in to a local airport and we usually take the ground tour. A heavy thunderstorm with hail was passing north of the airport. They almost took off to get the plane out of the area as they had concerns about hail damage to the aluminum.
Which one is that? Aluminum Overcast visits my state for a few weeks every summer. I love these old planes
Watching that lumbering behemoth defy gravity is an awesome sight and never gets old. The roar of the engines is pretty impressive too.
Took this one on Sunday morning. You can see the steam rising off the cranberry bogs. It was 35° that morning
We get kind of he same thing rising off the ohio river in the fall and winter, I call it a fog log. Can't get as nice a picture of it though.
I took this one of Aluminum Overcast as she was taking off from the airport. I was in traffic at a red light on hill above the runway and managed to snap a decent picture just as she was starting to bank left on the climb out
