...great job. You'll appreciate this effort.... Tell your wife don't worry one bit about that stacking. It looks good. I stack in cubes cause I lack that ability to keep gravity from doing its thing.
We are sure trying to get ahead of the game! Working hard almost always is the answer! It doesn't even matter what the question is. Sometime in September it will sure be worth it. I hate to have summer end, but LOVE a nice fire! Chvymn99 - my wife gets awful mad at a gravity and wind combo that's for sure!! If my little loader tractor would pick up a full pallet I think the cubes would be great.
This. I am a great believer in luck, and the harder I work the luckier I get. (no claim to originality) There are those who say, "work smarter, not harder," I think it is best to work smarter and harder! I find that most big jobs are conquered by just plugging away, until "suddenly" it is done. Greg
Good luck with that dry ground. I live near you and got out yesterday before the rain to finish up mowing the yard. I was slipping around in the muddy grass and it is raining again today. I have 4 fence killer trees in my yard that need to come down and it has been 2 weeks since I last was able to do anything with them because I need to be able to move around and will not drop one on an un-mowed grassy area. That would just make for more work. They are small, 6 to 8 inch diameter, but I have to drop them toward a public green space and then clean up before the next time they mow that area too.
