Yeah, did one last night and this morning.
Going down to 32 tonight, so there'll be yet another fire. I'm gonna' run out of firewood if this keeps up.
Emma has things under full control, so no worries at your house.
Let's just call this Juneuary and be done with it.

No fire for the last month. We would have had one if we were back down stairs, but up on the second floor, it just hasn't been cool. I think the wife runs the furnace from time to time. It is silent so I can't hear it kicking on.

You beat me to it by about half an hour, Loon. I left two windows open today, and didn't close them early enough to keep the house comfortable. It got to 68 in here and I felt cold, so instead of putting a sweatshirt on I lit a fire. I have lots of twigs and stuff to burn just from cleaning so I am rather pleased that it is cold enough to justify a fire. And with a few nights predicted in the forties, I don't need to worry about the house getting too hot.

It's been a crazy Spring...challenging for the vegetable gardening.

Papadave, we haven't hit 32 for about a week, and I hope we don't again. Those temperatures must be making toast of the fruit crops. I had damage to my apples last week. But the crabapples seem fine.

We finally had rain, which we desperately needed/ Despite the severe drought, we have tons of mosquitoes...and many dragonflies, thankfully.

Had to close all the windows and had a small fire with some ash last night, burning some chunky monkeys right now.
When the north wind blows, I say let there be fire :fire:

Yep, it's almost like the Jetsons.
We can not only listen, we can also see 'em......anytime we want, instead of waiting for a radio dj to play the song.
