    Looks great! Funny, I can't recall ever burning birch. I'd be interested to know how it goes when the time comes.

    I will report back. From what I've heard on the forum white birch is a light-medium firewood in terms of btus. My neighbor lusts after it because his wife isn't allergic to it when burnt. The white stuff is definitely significantly lighter than black and river birch. I spot checked a few pieces of the black birch and they aren't ready yet. Next year I'll be able to burn both I think.

    Im guessing the river birch will be very light when dried being so saturated when green I still havent split my rounds. Im using the hydro. Black and yellow birch are the high btu ones.
