Careful out there. Another Mason on the job fell off the third rung. He thought he was just hurt but soon he had trouble breathing. Had broken a rib and punctured a lung. Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Guy that worked part time at the bike shop years ago was cleaning the gutters on his porch roof (probably about the 3rd or 4th step) fell off and hit his head, they didn't think he was gonna live, but he did, but had the mentality of about a first grader...had to retire from being a cop, thought they could still use him around the shop some, but it just didn't work out. He was probably mid 50s at the time.

Yeah its not the fall, its how you land.

Had three falls in my roofing career. All from one story and two off ladders. Walked away from all of them. Some cuts and bruises bit went right back to work. Im extra careful in my old age.

    Isn’t that an airborne/parachute joke?

My highest was around 10' maybe 7 years ago. Thought I had the ladder latched, but I guess not. Hung on to the ceiling grid for a second before letting go as I didn't want to pull the ceiling down as well. No major damage other than making an ash of myself. Don't bounce like I used to, that's for sure.
