    Hello
Aladdin Quadrafire - cannot get baffle nut off to clean firebox inside top heat exchanger tubes?
The nut turns with the threads so I cut it off!
Last pic shows bolt that turns?
    Is this right?
    How should it be??
    What is the best fix??

    See pics

Since I cut the nut off, the bolt is too short!
If I can get that bolt out , I can weld a nut over the hole and then bolt the baffle in just like the new Quads??

cut the rest of the bolt out and tack a nut on that end and use a bolt/washer to hold the baffle in?

Yes, but not much room to cut the bolt out?
    Any good tricks on that?

or......the the bolt a little shorter and add a coupling nut....then you can add a piece of threaded rod.....not sure how much room you have though

    That is a good idea.
There is some room but not a lot. I will think about it more to see what all my options are thanks and let me know if you think of anything else too.

Here is a better pic of the top of the bolt that is stuck in there.
Getting it off with vise grips and a screwdriver to hold the nut!
    Got it out!
