So, the gf texted me at about 845 this morning saying work told her not to come in today as all her appointments canceled. chitty enough as it is because she won't get paid today.

Here we are 230, she tells me she's going to the mall...
231.... I CANT FIND MY KEYS
234..... OMG, I left the car running this whole time

LOL she went outside at 840 to start the car before work. got the call to not go in, and totally forgot the car was on the whole time.

Good thing gas is cheap now and the house is in a decent neighborhood.

    lol

That's like looking for hours for your keys and suddenly you look and they are right there in your hand. How did that happen?

I have done several things over the years that make you think......

I was talking to my daughter one day when we were walking out of the house to go somewhere. My truck was parked in the driveway and my wife's car was parked behind me. We both saw it. I was talking to her about something, giving her some serious fatherly advice. (Probably about paying attention!) I started my truck, she talked again, I talked a "little louder", then proceeded to put my truck in reverse and back into my wife's car. :emb: Both of our eyes were like o_O, luckily I was only a couple feet from her car and there was no damage to either. I told my daughter she did not see or hear anything. :zip: We were rolling after that one

Looking at the bright side: at least the car was nice and warm for her trip :)

Asian. She's actually a decent driver though. lol

And of course, I don't mean to sound sexist from the title of the post, because we've all done some stupid stuff. LOTS of stupid stuff. I just know there's other guys out there who were at work one day, had their wife/gf send them a message and can relate to how I feel today

Right where I want to be.
I don't have any stories like that myself , However.....
My brother had been talking to one of his sons on the cell phone for a while when for some reason he decided he needed to call someone.
He started looking for the phone......that was in his hand.......while complaining to his son that he couldn't find the phone.
His son was like "DAD, uh, DAD"!:headbang:
