LOL I'm not a big guy by any means, barely 170 lbs.But stubborn, determined & don't give up easily.I have nothing but respect for the now old timers who run those beasts all day every day 3-4 decades ago.Am sure most of them running them weren't over 40 years old at the time, and the majority was 30 or less.Compared to being 50 & been working in the woods part time/heavy construction full time since I was 17. I'm just finally getting tired now,the years are catching up to me :hair: :emb:

I'm 37, and I can feel the energy starting to drain from my body. At 50, I'll be paying for c/s/s wood and will maybe even switch to a pellet stove. :picard:

Look at Backwoods Savage....50 years at the game, and he's still going strong. I will hopefully have enough money someday that I can oversee the processing and drink pina coladas. LOL! Probably not so much though. :axe::tree::seasoned::dennis:

This thread makes me want a sheet of spring steel and access to an EDM machine.

Here is the pic. Parts arrived within 24 hours and were on the saw within 15 minutes. I think these look good, but now for the test. :saw:

You can see that I had one dog on the inside that came stock and is bent. I couldn't hold wood in place this weekend and it was flying all over. If I run out of gas, I can take the bar off and stab the wood to death with these.

A big improvement over stock on this saw. I'm ok with this size. Nothing bigger required.

Yea there good for what I do as well. Honestly the small ones slip on big oak bark on white oak as well as pine cause the outer layer pulls off and they dont go deep enough. The big ones dont have that issue.
