Why so deep? Looks like 4x4 frame.

Looks bigger to me. Maybe 4x6's...would take about 4.5 tons
The one I looked at a couple days ago had 8x8's on the bottom.

probably need a ramp on the outside too, so there isn't a trip hazard

You are correct- 4x6. We'll see how far the stone goes! I thought about the ramp, too. Especially when I tripped over it the first day.

Looks like 2A stone. that will pack like concrete if you tamp it with a plate tamper

I would fill from the edge of the driveway to the shed . Even cut the sod out so you can get 3-4" of stone in

Made some headway between all the rain. Still have a little ways to go with tamping/leveling. A single axle load was more stone than I thought! lol. Will find another use for any leftovers. That's a nice machine TurboDiesel

Looks great! I really like the stone on the wall. Where did you get that from? Any idea how thick it is? Curious
If I added that how much would it extend beyond the existing Sheetrock.

Hearth looks nice too, and I like the lanterns, and the mantels.....:)
