There is a previously exterior window here from the first 1952 home, someone enclosed it and put shelves in. We looked, the doors that were apparently on there are not on the property now. I'd like to have mirrored doors on there to serve as a medicine cabinet. Gorgeous!! I would love to have the exact same thing, but not willing to put the cash out to have it built. My grandparents farm (1904) had the same thing, only one smaller mirror instead of two. I remember the latch like yesterday. How would you cover this cabinet?
The medecine cabinet is a pottery barn knockoff, I built it myself when we remodeled that bath. My wife cutout the pic and I sized ours to fit the space. It's made out of poplar and is topped with reversed colonial base and some crown
I found someone to help around the house. I FINALLY have a mirror above the sink Then he's going paint and hang towel bars/tp holder etc. Yay, a real bathroom!!
Crazy but kinda cool, the original exterior window from 1952 was still intact behind the 1960's built in cabinet when they put the bathroom on behind (this was the kitchen sink window, no bathroom, outhouse before that ).
That right there is funny (well, probably not if it's your house). That is one shortcut I can say that they didn't do to my house. Of course, they never put an addition on, so that is probably the only reason
