Yuck! It's amazing what animals like the taste of. Just think of cats and dogs for a few, close to home examples.

I saw an ad for an armband with copper in it, in the wee hours this morning, available at your finer sporting goods stores. This seems like a gimmick. Anyone have an experience or opinion?

L-glutamine. It is the fountain of youth.
Most people think it is just for power athletes and body builders.
Don't know why it's not pushed for "older" folks.
You have to take enough, though. I take 1 gram every am and pm.
On hard workout and bike days I take 2 grams after the ride.
It's not ibuprofen. It does not work in a few hours. It will take
2-6 weeks to feel the effects. It's good stuff.

Good sources of L-glutamine can be found in certain foods, including:
    1. chicken.
    2. fish.
    3. cabbage.
    4. spinach.
    5. dairy.
    6. tofu.
    7. lentils.
    8. beans.
This list from the web looks like my diet. Perhaps I'll get a powder supplement and add a gram or two to my morning smoothie for a while.

Here is what I know from experinece. Years ago, I started using Hammer
Nutrition for fueling on my bike. It is endurance fuel. Really good stuff.
One of the supplements was L-glutamine. Took it regularly for years.
2yrs ago, I decided in Oct that bike riding was slowing down for the winter...
so I backed off the L-glut. It took about 5wks to start feeling the effect.
It felt like I was getting sick. Achy and stiff in the morning. But, it would go
away as the day got started. After about 3mths, I was hurting all day.
I went back to the L-glut....took about a week and the achy and stiff feelings
were gone. You have to take enough for it to be valuable. I eat all that stuff, too.
    YMMV Good luck!

It does sound like withdrawal symptoms, unfortunately. That scares me a little. I want a little relief, not another dependence, already have a couple of those, and would prefer not to get another. I would be willing to trade two for one, though! And I'm sure glutamine would be a much healthier one.

Fish oil tablets make me burp. Yuk taste horrible. Doc told me freeze them before I take them. Works like a charm. No more burping.

I have used a neoprene wrap on the elbows. It probably works best as it holds in the heat but for sure it helps.

This group is a box of chocolates...….

…..you surely never know what you're going to get.

I guess as I get older...
I can hurt or help myself.
    ..an addiction....:headbang:

I take a number of other supplements every day....vit C, etc.
    Am I addicted?

    ….on further thought.....I am addicted....to not hurting.
It's legal. Pretty cheap compared to other things.

I just ordered a pair and a new back support belt. My elbows woke me 2-3 times last night. I knew I should have noodled those rounds I just brought home.

Not for my elbow but had severe foot pain (ankle and arch) purchased cooper infused ankle brace after about a week the pain started to subside. I don't wear it everyday unless I know that I will be on my feet a lot. It works for me!

Thank you! Great tip. I'll look for these and give them a go. I already take oat bran, so this will also be good for cholesterol, too.

I hurt my left elbow 3 years ago trying to pull apart a stubborn split. It took a long time before it healed fully.
