They make auxiliary hydraulic pumps that can be run off the truck trans...or I suppose one could rig up a PTO to power a genny for your E-splittah

I literally bought one of these on Saturday morning, found it on FB Marketplace, it's the 110v electric version but can easily be converted to gas, it does need some TLC (mainly just cleaned up and painted/lubed, I already bought and installed two new tires) but works flawlessly, picked it up for 360 bucks!!

I'm no more deserving of it than any of you fine folks, but I appreciate the compliment coming from a good man like yourself!

The kicker was another fella had dibs (I wasn't the first to want to buy it), he showed up Friday evening to get it and didn't realize what it even was and said it wasn't big enough for what he wanted it for.....lol
I put some big stuff through it yesterday and was thoroughly impressed! And it's pretty fast compared to my hydraulic splitter.

But some of the knotty, knurled applewood I have was tough for it to split. It did the job, but I did trip the breaker once....lol.

Thats an epic score! Lol not big enough! I put some 32” cottonwood through mine right after I bought it just to see if it would handle it. Congrats Scott you’re going to love it!

    damm Scotty, nice score..
I looked for 2 years for a used one, all I could find were 20+ year old machines, beat to death, and they still wanted 2 Grand for em..
So I called Paul and bought a new one… That was about 6-8 years ago, no regrets, other than I wish I’da got it 15 years sooner..

cottonwood can be some tough stuff. I got some and it was so cross-grained that it pretty much balled up on the splitter. I left the rest right where it was.

You might have had some wind twist. I’ve found it to split pretty easy as long as it isn’t green. Spruce is another one that’s tough to split for such a soft wood.

Those super splits are nice looking machines. I watch Ohio Wood Burner on Youtube and he's constantly raving about his.

May seem like a dumb question, but superslpitter is the manufacturer here and not just a "generic" name for flywheel splitters?

Yes and yes. This is the original and still the best. There are a number of knockoffs (DR Power, etc).
