That law stuff is white mans forked tongue. No way you can prove where the hogs came from, which would be the opening line from any defense atty. Danged things multiply as fast as ants. They are smart and fast, and do not have much in the way of natural predators to take them on. We do not seem to have a problem with them yet here in WI but the DNR has a habit of covering various things up for years until they can no longer deny it.
Ohio same. Reports of a recent Mountain Lion sighting were poo poo'd by DNR as a "large housecat"...until the Mountain Lion got hit on the road... Bobcats too...
I saw what looked like an elevated stand in one of your pictures. Keep waiting to see you in a pictures with a couple hogs laid out. When I was in High School in Brunswick Ga. We used to hunt wild hogs during the fall. There was a causeway into the marsh just north of Belle Point that had a primitive ramp at the end. We would launch a 16 ft aluminum boat with a 20HP motor out to the Intracoastal Waterway and run away up north to the marshes just south of the Altamaha river. Lots of feral and truly wild hogs there. An old black gentleman in Brunswick would slow roast and baste all or part of your hog overnight for a few cents a pound. Leaner but excellent eating (this was all a long time ago of course). My relations in Sabinal Texas have a ranch and lease all the hunting rights out except wild hogs. If you bow hunt you can come hunt hogs for free. They hate them that much.
Yes sir, that's on of our main deer stands, been there probably 27-28 years, many deer have been taken from it, overlooks the road and 2 food plots, 200 yards on one and 260 yards on the hog rooting one. Also have taken many nice red wasps nests from it too......in fact, there are a few occupied ones under the seats now......one reason the hogs are getting a freebie now......I do need to get some spray for them. Maybe some corn will keep the hogs around until this deer season
