Actually, this is exactly what I tell them also...."We have our onw beliefs and I will not accept any literature" If they are insistent, I tell them "If you really want to leave it here go ahead, but it'll be in the trash before you're out of the yard"
I answer my flip phone whenever its on and i couldnt care less if its someone looking for money as chances are i cant understand what the hell they are saying anyways?
I've actually talked to quite a few of them, I think it surprised Chazsbetterhalf at first. They're doing what their belief compels them to do. Although I'll admit to running off more than a few in my younger years.
"I always heard that answering the door naked will keep the jehovahs away." ... If I did that, they'd prolly have a heart attack...
All I meant was that the Jews don’t come around bothering us and I respect them for that! That and I’m a big supporter of Israel.
My Father in law ( die hard Baptist). Would get into debates with them and tell them why their beliefs were wrong. He would do the same to my Catholic daughter in law also. Gary
In my early 20s when I bought my first place about half the neighbors were pamphlet peddlers. They always sent peddlers from another town to my place. One Friday night I threw one hell of a shindig . There were beer cans and liquor handles everywhere. Saturday morning door bell rang several times and I had to pull a body away from the front door to open it in nothing but my boxers. First thing outta their mouth was “ looks like you had a good time last night” as the body awoke and threw empty cans at me rolling down the front steps in front of them. I said dam strait we did ,, did Mark up the road send ya down ,, shoulda been here,,,,, you gotta # so I can invite ya next time???? Woman and younger girl made their way back to the car. Pretty sure I was getting a rebellious stink eye from the girl as she backed away from the door. Last time I had peddlers on my door step and that was almost 30 years ago.
