    I just know the overall power of the closed bis slightly better.

    But with that said, the 55 I have is Open port and I love it. It's the smallest saw I have (not counting my POS Earthquakes) and has more than enough power.

    18" is what I currently have. But a 16" would make it run a little faster (small wood) but it can take up to a 20".
