You mean total cords I have of split wood? I honestly don’t know but will try to get an estimate later today or tomorrow.
So I finally remembered to pace the piles off and do some math and I came up with 280 cut and split at the moment.
I am down to 21 logs left from the 4 semi loads that were dropped off a while back. Have some tree service wood but may need to order more poles.
The poles from the 4 semi loads are all cut up now, including the 2 pine logs he snuck in there. Have a bunch of rounds staged for each splitter.
Here’s what is left to cut. All tree service wood. Should have this cut in about 7-10 days at the most. There are some nice oak logs in there and a lot of silver maple with some beech and some odds and ends.
I won’t mention two pine logs mixed in 4 semi loads. I reached out Friday. He doesn’t know what he has at the moment but I’d like to buy more. All uncut wood is pictured.
Mostly worked on this ugly 20ish” diameter tree service oak this morning. It’s times like this I’m glad to have an owb so I can get rid of the uglies and cutoffs as I square these logs up.
I then decided it was time to deal with this turd. It did have one nice straight log still attached but I would have been happier if none of it made it to drop off. About 30-40% of the stump will go to my wood boiler. Not worth the time or energy to break it down into 16” sellable pieces nor does much of it look nice.
I have some gnarly sugar maple chunks I'll size down with the saw rather than make ugly splits. God bless the OWB when stuff like that comes along.
