Yep, that's a classic example. It sounds like you handled it well. And yes, a good lesson for your then 11 yo!
Thanks! Yeah we need one wet storm to put these fires out. The smoke is miserable but the fires are far away (knock on wood). Reminds me of a scene out of Apocalypse Now. I'd like to take my daughter to the lake (she's learning to swim) but it's just too smokey.
A bucket lister for me for sure. I've got a Dan Wesson in the same caliber that was my fathers. Doesn't have the history of that beauty but it sure is fun to shoot. My wife has a Model 27 in .38 Special with adjustable sights. It was police issue from her father. Went through Watts and LA riots. Probably to coolest piece I have in my safe because of it's history.
Very nice! Mines a model 29-3, I've probably put 100 rounds through it.I sold a 629 with a 10-5/8 barrel 10 years ago.
Thanks Bert . So, you remember Dirty Harry too? I bet you're wondering, do I have enough firewood for two years or three years? In all this excitement I've kind of lost track myself. But being this is FHC, the most awesome site on the web, and will blow the stacks off of any other such site, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do you Bert? Hey, cool pic of the revolver!
