    We musta had FHC telepathy today...all both of us ND FHC members were splitting wood today. Only I was slower with my mighty 8# maul in hand. Was a great day for it though.

    I use to split by hand
    Now, without the splitter I wouldn't be burning wood.
    A great back , work/time saver

    yeah but some ash at 40 I can still split faster by hand then with splitter.... maybe for shorter periods but faster... at least I think I can:whistle:

    You couldn't make that huge pile of splits LocoEngineer made in a day.
    Manual splitting is a good workout - but it ain't no all day affair;)

    Agreed. Even when I'm in the zone, no way I could get that much done in a day, even 20 years ago. Just glad I got it behind me! Now to build the shed. Start setting poles I salvaged this spring from a lumberyard demo soon. Pics in a few days!
