    Life's been rough lately, and I'm just trying to keep the legs moving, so to speak.

    I was outside this afternoon, doing little tasks, and just trying to muddle through a cold February Friday afternoon.

    Then, I heard some loud jet engines, so I looked up. Six fighter jets flew overhead, staggered about 30 seconds apart, all along the same path. Don't know where they were headed (going south west), but it really gave me a pick me up. Those are some awesome machines, and made me feel proud to be an American taxpayer. They might have been F15s, they were not the more modern stealth fighters.

    Having worked on F-16's, I can relate.
    :dex::thumbs::salute:

    I miss the fact that Niagara Falls Reserves used to have sweet 16's and they'd fly through the valleys.

    I'm glad for you. I often see things that catapult my mind to memories of my Dad that passed in Oct. and are comforting. I opened a weird car insurance junk mail for someone with my last name and my address today. Nope, my name is not Linda..... Anyway I goggled it, our names and home came up and right there second one down was my Dad's obituary. I had to read it again. I KNOW he's having a blast in Heaven. As I do all of us that have lost our Fathers.

    I’m a long time “fan” of fighter jets. Used to regularly attend shows but haven’t lately.
    Some recent ig pics I thought were awesome.

    There is nothing quite like it, the sound of freedom! When I hear and see them makes the hairs on my arms and neck stand up, just amazing and powerful machines.

    Glad your up and getting around :handshake:

    I'm almost like a teenage girl at a boy band concert when there are fighter jets in the air.

    We get to witness and hear many types of jets do “radar runs” in front of the mountain to the south of our town. Always awesome.
    Reminds me of a day working on a large log home out in the county here.... the home is on the North side ridge of a valley. The southern wall of the valley has a taller ridge. Standing on the front porch of said log house, you can see down the property to the road. This particular day, an amazing sight- a B1 bomber, with wings extended outward for slower flight, came down the valley. It was an awe inspiring sight, as we were literally looking down at the top of the jet. That baby was huge. And sexy, with all its curves. Outstanding!!!

    I miss going to the Marine Air Show in Yuma, AZ in the spring. Always see a bunch of different planes then and they are amazing. A good time is usually had by most. The ones that don't have a good time are the young ones who go to the show in skimpy clothing and that sun can get hot even though it is in April... Some never learn.

    That's a good one! I have pics somewhere of one at an airshow. We were allowed to pop our heads up into it but not step on, just up the ladder and lookie lookie. I'd love to hear it w/ all four in full afterburner.

    Another time with no camera- Spring of ‘96 I was at college in Newport News, VA and happened to look up toward the cloudless sky...
    Banking high and steep was not one but three B2’s turning for their approach to Langley.... all I could think was “there’s 6 billion $’s in the sky!”
